EURODAM OVERNIGHT STAY IN LISBON

As most cruise ships arrive Lisbon early in the morning and depart in the afternoon, an overnight stay provides the opportunity for different photographs with the evening light.
The EURODAM overnight maiden call was one of such situations. Photographs taken on 4 May 2009 between 19h30 and 20h40.

IVAN FRANKO in Lisbon

The Russian passenger liner and cruise ship IVAN FRANKO photographed in Lisbon in the 1980s.
The first of five sisters built in East Germany, IVAN FRANKO was introduced in 1964.
A curious fact is that she was painted with white hull for the builders sea trials, it was only afterwards that she was repainted black. Under Soviet Union operation she was managed and homeported in Odessa, Ukraine.

COSTA MEDITERRANEA off Lisbon 2009-03-31

Costa cruises' COSTA MEDITERRANEA departing from Lisbon on 31 March 2009.
A nice ship with very impressive colours.
I do like classic ship liveries and Costa has changed little over the years.
